Cat is also a prolific and articulate writer and is a regular contributor to Early Music Today, to Early Music Review, to Musica Antiqua magazine and to The Recorder magazine, and was recently runner-up in the New Statesman’s prestigious music journalism competition. Cat delivered a conference paper at Oxford's Faculty of Music at the RMA/SSMN 2010 conference entitled: La musica conformando alla celeste: the reciprocal musical relationship between Venice and Aquileia during the transitional years. Lately, she has translated and edited an essay of significant length to accompany Peter Holtslag and Elizabeth Kenny’s latest CD recording. |
