Mascherata is a Renaissance trio comprising Cat (recorders, voice and Renaissance harp), Adrian Horsewood (baritone) and Richard MacKenzie (early plucked instruments). The trio was formed in 2010 for a concert at the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava, Venice, and has lately reached the final three at the International Early Music Competition in the Netherlands. Recent recital venues have included St. Mary Magdalene, Oxford, the Sala Castellani, Gargnano, N. Italy and the Bate Collection of the University of Oxford. They have been invited to play for the Galpin Society in June 2012. Mascherata’s current concert programmes include an Italian programme entitled Musica per una serata veneziana and a Spanish prgramme, Fare lo Spagnoletto.
